Den 22-24 april arrangerar SKFYE helgskurs med trion RÅ! Kursen äger rum på Backagården i Höör. Kursen riktar sig till dig mellan 14-25 år som är intresserade av nytrad dvs. folkmusik med sting!

Welcome to SKFYE-camp 2022.! We’re going to be at Backagården, Höör. Trio RÅ is guiding us through the weekend with a lot of Swedish folk music added with a little touch of innovation. Besides that, there will be folk dance and late-night sessions. On Saturday evening we’re going together to Malmö Folk, which is Skånes biggest folk music platform. First Mavara is playing a concert, afterward, the dance floor and café will be open + jam sessions will be available! The camp ends on Sunday with a concert for family and locals.
For who: all participants from JuHeFo and others between 14-25 years
When: kl. 16 22/4 – kl.14 24/4
Where: Backagården Höör, Skåne, Sweden
Price: 900 SEK (Swedish crowns)

The price includes:
– workshop with RÅ
– accommodation
– food the whole weekend
– bus trip to and home from Malmö Folk
– entrance + membership at Malmö Folk
– membership in SKFYE

Membership:
Both SKFYE and Malmö Folk are organizations based on members which means we can only arrange concerts/camps if we got members. That’s why your membership is so important and we need you to register yourself at serval pages.

For you who go by train:
Book to Höör Station and contact us if you need to be picked up there.

RÅ:
RÅ is on a mission – to diversify the way traditional music is viewed and played. With playful innovation and influences from jazz, rock, electronic music, and free improvisation. RÅ challenges and cherishes the magical musical tradition that is Swedish folk music. With the combination of saxophone, clarinet and octave violin RÅ has developed an intriguing sound that is unique on the Nordic folk music scene.
RÅ has recently released their debut album MASSIV, which received critical acclaim from LIRA, Roots World, Sveriges Radio, and many more. RÅ has played on prestigious stages such as Malmö Folk, Norrköpings Folkmusikfestival and Copenhagen Jazz Festival, and aims to enrich the community with their vision, that the norms and conventions within Swedish folk music can and should be challenged.
